Standing Proud and Tall

It is 4pm in the afternoon and I hear DS's voice coming from his room. He has woken from this afternoon nap and guess what i saw when i walked into his room.

He was standing up with his little hands on the rail of the cot. I was really shocked and pleasantly surprised. My little baby is growing up fast and i am sure it will not be too long before he starts walking.

DH and I brought DS for his 1st swim today. Dressed in his cute little "skeleton" wetsuit, he appears pretty excited to make his first splash. Obviously ignorant to his surroundings, he started of slowly and not long after he was swimming like a fish on his own. Mommy Miffy and Daddy K are so proud of our little bubba. Will he be the next Michael Phelps? Well...only time will tell....

Aidan Loves Books

DS went for his first "Babies Loves Books" session at the local library today. Its a weekly storytelling, singing and dancing class for babies under 12mths. It was raining cats and dogs just before the class. I made a huge decision to drive the little man there instead of pushing his pram in the rain (the library is only a 10mins walk from our apartment block). It was an admirable task indeed for me given that i have never driven alone with DS in the car. My effort pays off as DS absolutely love thesession and was smiling and laughing the whole time. Till next week, we sing and dance again.

The Little Man Hates Pumpkin

Pumpkin, the rich and sweet vegetables that is widely love by most babies is DS third new food. To my surprise, he simply hates it to the extent of spitting it out. I offered him on 2 occasions but the results turn out to be the same. Looks like we have a special baby with a unique taste bub. So what is next on the plate?

Is Avocado His Cup Of Tea

DS is having his 2nd taste of solids today. It is Avocado puree, the rice fruit filled with nutrients, just prefect for the little man. Would he like it as much as his rice cereal? Well...only time will tell...fingers crossed.

Rocking Rules The World

DS likes to be rocked to sleep despite our countless effort to teach him how to self-settle. So, it is back to the wrapping, rocking, basinnet days!!! Not sure whether we are causing more harm than good this way....well at leasts he gets his 3 essential day naps each day.

First Taste of Solids

DS had this first taste of solids today!!! I fed him organic rice cereal with expressed breastmilk. He sat on his bumbo seat (our preordered Stokke Trip Trapp High Chair has not arrived) and wore his new bib =) What a new and exciting experience for both of us.
